Guogou Junior High School

Guogou Junior High School began in 1968 as a branch campus of Budai Junior High serving the Guogou community, becoming an independent school on August 1, 1969, under founding principal Zhu Ruhai. Its campus sits just across the township line in neighboring Dongshi, reflecting how the Guogou community itself straddles the Budai–Dongshi border. Today the school is known for strong athletic programs — especially soccer, with recent county- and national-level results — alongside heavy use of digital learning platforms like Google Classroom, Pagamo, Kahoot, and Canva, and active career guidance, gender-equality, and anti-bullying programs.

過溝國中前身為布袋國中過溝分部，設立於民國57年（1968年），民國58年（1969年）8月1日獨立設校，首任校長為朱汝海。校地座落於鄰近的東石鄉，反映過溝聚落原本即橫跨布袋、東石兩鄉的地理特性。學校以足球等體育項目表現優異，近年在縣賽及全國賽事屢獲佳績，並大量運用Google Classroom、Pagamo、Kahoot、Canva等數位學習平台與雲端行政系統，同時積極推動生涯輔導、性別平等教育及反霸凌教育。
