Guofeng Junior High School

Guofeng Junior High School opened on August 1, 1968, and has since grown into the largest junior high school in Hualien County, with 63 classes and roughly 1,905 students. Its art program, established in 1990, has trained generations of artists from the Hualien area. In 2016, after the campus suffered subsidence, cracking, and seismic deficiencies, the Tzu Chi Foundation partnered with the county government on a roughly NT$740 million renovation — a major investment reflecting the school's central role in local education.

國風國中創立於民國57年（1968年）8月1日，如今已發展為花蓮縣規模最大的國中，共63班、學生約1,905人。學校美術班創立於1979年（民國79年，即1990年），培育了一代又一代花蓮地區的美術人才。2016年，因校舍出現地層下陷、龜裂及耐震不足問題，慈濟基金會與縣政府合作，投入約新台幣7.4億元進行大規模改建——展現學校在地方教育中的核心地位。
