Guanyin Elementary School

Guanyin Elementary was established in 1917 under Japanese rule, becoming independent from a branch of Lehe Elementary School — itself widely cited as Yuli's oldest school lineage. This origin reflects how large Lehe's original school district once was, spinning off multiple independent schools as the valley's population grew. Guanyin celebrated its 120th anniversary around April 2025, marking well over a century of continuous education in this corner of Yuli Township.

觀音國小創立於日治時期民國6年（1917年），由樂合國小——玉里鎮公認歷史最悠久的學校血脈——的分校獨立而來。這段歷史反映出當年樂合國小學區的規模之大，隨著縱谷人口成長，陸續分出多所獨立學校。觀音國小已於2025年4月左右慶祝建校120週年，標誌著這片玉里鎮角落逾百年不間斷的教育歷程。
