From seven borrowed classrooms to Guanxi's main junior high.
Guanxi Junior High opened in August 1955 as a branch of Xinpu Junior High, under founding principal Chen Cong-jie. It started with just seven classes and 355 students, borrowing classroom space from neighboring Guanxi Elementary School before becoming fully independent in 1956 and taking its current name in 1968. The school grew steadily, reaching 29 classes by 1968 and building its own athletics track, and today runs an arts talent class alongside a library named "Pine Ridge Study" (松嶺書坊).
