Guangyuan Elementary was founded in 1937 during the Japanese colonial era and took its present name in 1968. Its school district spans two Bunun communities, Longquan and Dabu, on land the Bunun consider part of their traditional ancestral living territory in the Haiduan highlands. The school remains small — about 12 teachers and staff, six classes, and 45 students — with an attached kindergarten and basic sports facilities.

廣原國小創立於1937年(日治時期),1968年更改為現名。學區橫跨龍泉、大埔兩個布農部落,座落於布農族視為傳統祖居生活領域的海端高地上。學校規模小巧,現有約12名教職員、六班、45名學生,並設有附設幼兒園及基本體育設施。
