National Kuangfu Senior Commercial and Industrial Vocational High School opened its doors on July 1, 1996, after being approved for planning in 1991. It began with programs in data processing, accounting, auto repair, and electronics, and was elevated to national status in February 2000. The school briefly operated a comprehensive high school track between 2000 and 2014 before returning fully to vocational programs, and in 2022 it launched a bilingual culinary program — reflecting Taiwan's push to bring English instruction into technical and vocational education.
國立光復高級商工職業學校於民國85年（1996年）7月1日創校，早在民國80年（1991年）即獲准籌設。創校初期設有資料處理、會計、汽車修護、電子等科別，並於民國89年（2000年）2月改制為國立學校。學校曾於2000年至2014年間試辦綜合高中學程，後恢復為職業類科為主。民國111年（2022年）更增設雙語餐飲科，呼應台灣技職教育雙語化的推動方向。
