National Gangshan Senior High School was founded on November 11, 1946, as "Taiwan Provincial Kaohsiung Third Middle School," renamed "Taiwan Provincial Gangshan Middle School" the following year. It became a senior-high-only institution in 1970 and was reorganized as a national school in 2000. Today it enrolls around 1,411 students across 45 classes and is approaching its 80th anniversary.
國立岡山高級中學創立於民國35年(1946年)11月11日,初名「台灣省立高雄第三中學」,隔年更名為「台灣省立岡山中學」。民國59年(1970年)改制為純高中,民國89年(2000年)改隸國立。現有約1,411名學生、45個班級,即將迎來建校80週年。
