Fuyuan Junior High was established in 1968 and sits on a 3.1752-hectare campus in Guangfu Township. Unusually, its school district draws students not just from Guangfu but from villages across neighboring Ruisui and Wanrong townships as well — a genuinely cross-township catchment area. The school runs "urban-rural collaborative learning" partnerships and a "Firefly Hometown" community project connecting classroom learning to local ecology, and its teaching team won Hualien County's Teaching Excellence Gold Award in 2021.
富源國中創立於民國57年（1968年），校地面積約3.1752公頃，位於光復鄉。學區範圍較為特殊，除光復鄉外，也涵蓋瑞穗鄉、萬榮鄉部分村里的學生，形成橫跨三鄉的招生範圍。學校推動「城鄉共學」交流計畫與「螢火蟲的故鄉」社區行動方案，教學團隊並於民國110年（2021年）榮獲花蓮縣教學卓越金質獎。
