Born from disaster, built for the future.
Fule Elementary was established on August 1, 2003, but its story begins earlier, in the aftermath of the devastating 1999 (921) earthquake and an October 22, 1999 aftershock that badly damaged Xiulin Elementary School's second classroom building. Reconstruction on the original site proved difficult, so a new site was secured by December 1999, and a "Xiulin Elementary Fule Branch" (秀林國小福樂分校) was approved on March 1, 2000, before becoming fully independent as Fule Elementary in 2003. Today the school runs STEAM teaching initiatives, a percussion ensemble and cheerleading programs, indigenous-language instruction, and an attached kindergarten, and it won first place in chemistry at the county Science Exhibition in the 114th academic year.
