Fugang Junior High began as a branch campus of Taoyuan County Yangmei Middle School at Fugang in 1966, becoming an independent school after the 1968 nine-year compulsory education reform under the name Taoyuan County Fugang Junior High. It took its current name, Taoyuan City Fugang Junior High, in December 2014 when the county became a special municipality. As of late 2023, the school enrolled about 157 students with 25 teachers, making it one of the smaller junior highs in Yangmei District.
富岡國中創立於民國55年（1966年），原為桃園縣立楊梅中學富岡分部；民國57年（1968年）九年國教實施後獨立為桃園縣立富岡國民中學；民國103年（2014年）12月更名桃園市立富岡國民中學。2023年底統計約157名學生、25名教師，屬中小型國中。
