Fengyuan Elementary was founded in 1964 to serve a small farming community on the outskirts of Taitung City. When its original campus buildings, after roughly 50 years of use, became structurally unusable, the school secured Ministry of Education funding for a full rebuild completed in 2011. Rather than a conventional design, the new campus was given a striking Mediterranean/Aegean blue-and-white color scheme — and it quickly became one of Taitung's most photogenic schools, drawing so many outside visitors purely for photos that the school eventually had to close its campus to non-student visitors.
豐源國小創立於民國53年（1964年），服務台東市郊的農業聚落。原有校舍使用約五十年後結構老舊不堪使用，學校爭取教育部經費於2011年完成全面重建。新校舍捨棄傳統設計，採用醒目的希臘愛琴海藍白配色，意外成為台東最上鏡的校園之一，吸引大量遊客專程前來拍照，最終校方不得不婉拒非師生的參觀。
