From a commercial branch school to a full vocational campus.
Fongshan Vocational High opened in 1956 as a branch of the Taiwan Provincial Kaohsiung Commercial Vocational School, becoming an independent institution in 1965. An industrial division — covering fields such as molds, machining, and furniture and woodworking — was added in 1981, and the school now also runs an attached continuing-education division for adult and part-time students.
