One of four colonial-era foundations.
Fenggang Elementary was established in 1920 as "Maoerding Branch School," becoming independent in 1931. It was renamed Fenggang National School in 1946 after the end of Japanese rule, and took its current name in 1968. The school is one of only four public schools established by the Japanese colonial administration within the boundaries of present-day Zhubei City, giving it over a century of continuous operation under several successive names.

📜 A Name That Traces History
從貓兒錠到鳳岡
From "Maoerding Branch School" to its post-war and modern names, the school's history of renaming mirrors Taiwan's own political transitions across the 20th century.
🏫 Over a Century of Continuous Service
持續辦學逾百年
More than 100 years after its founding, Fenggang continues to serve its community, one of the longest-running institutions in the Zhubei area.
A slice of pre-boom Zhubei.
Like Fenggang Junior High, this school sits on the older, coastal/agricultural side of Zhubei, preserving a slice of the pre-tech-boom Hakka farming community even as much of the city has urbanized around it.
