Fangliao Elementary opened in 1923 as a branch of Xinpu Public School, becoming independent in 1929 as Fangliao Public School. It was renamed in 1941 and took its current name in 1968. In 2023, the school celebrated its 100th anniversary, receiving a commemorative plaque from the Hsinchu County magistrate. The school actively promotes Hakka-language education — 19 students recently passed the Hakka language proficiency certification exam — alongside traffic-safety and environmental-education programs.
枋寮國小創立於大正12年(1923年),原為新埔公學校分教場,昭和4年(1929年)獨立設校,命名為枋寮公學校。昭和16年(1941年)更名,民國57年(1968年)改為現名。民國112年(2023年)學校歡慶建校百週年,獲新竹縣長頒發紀念匾額。學校積極推動客語教育,近期有19名學生通過客語能力認證考試,並持續推動交通安全與環境教育。
