Erxi Elementary School traces its roots to around 1915, as “Erchongxi Public School,” an independent successor to an earlier branch of Jiabanian (噍吧哖) Public School at Erchong Creek. It was renamed “Erxi National School” on August 1, 1952, and took its present name, Erxi Elementary School, on August 1, 1968. Sitting along the Erchong Creek (二重溪) valley within Danei's hilly terrain near the Zengwen River, it remains a small rural school serving the Erxi area.
二溪國小創立於大正4年（1915年）左右，前身為「二重溪公學校」，源自噍吧哖公學校二重溪分校獨立設校而成。民國41年（1952年）8月1日改稱「二溪國民學校」，民國57年（1968年）8月1日定名為現今的「二溪國民小學」。學校位於曾文溪支流二重溪流域，坐落於大內丘陵地帶，是服務二溪地區的鄉村小學。
