About · 學校簡介

Nearly a century in Kungadavane.

Duona Elementary School was founded in October 1926, during the Japanese colonial era, as the "Dona Type-A Aboriginal Children's Education Institute." It became Dona Village National School in 1945, became independent in January 1952, took the name Duona Elementary School in 1968, and was renamed for Kaohsiung City in 2010. In 2004, it was designated an "Indigenous key school," and in 2017 it transformed into an official Rukai-language experimental school, also known as the Kungadavane Rukai Ethnic Experimental Elementary School — Kungadavane being the Rukai name for Duona village.
