Dongzhu Elementary School

Dongzhu Elementary is located in Zhutian Village, the same village where Fubei Junior High later stood — in fact, Fubei's earliest classes borrowed space from Dongzhu in 1968 while its own campus was being built. Dongzhu's founding is inferred to date to around 1939, based on an 80th-anniversary observance held around 2019, placing its roots firmly in the Japanese colonial era. The school sits in some of Fuli's richest farmland, close to Liushishishan, the mountain famous for its terraced day-lily fields.

東竹國小位於竹田村，後來富北國中也設立於此——事實上，富北國中最早期的班級曾於民國57年（1968年）借用東竹國小的空間，當時富北自己的校舍仍在興建中。根據民國108年（2019年）前後舉辦的建校八十週年紀念活動推算，東竹國小的創校時間約在昭和14年（1939年），紮根於日治時期。學校座落於富里最富饒的農地之一，鄰近以金針花梯田聞名的六十石山。
