About · 學校簡介

An award-winning history project from a small village school.

Dongrong Elementary began as a branch of Minsyong National School in January 1953, started enrolling grades 1-6 that September, became independent as "東榮國民學校" in September 1954, and was renamed "東榮國民小學" in 1968 under the nine-year compulsory education reform. Now with 70-plus years of history, the school runs STEAM and robotics programs using WeDo robotics and Scratch programming, and made a name for itself with its "National Radio Museum" digital project, which won a Gold Award in Taiwan's School Cyberfair competition in 2012 and a Silver Award at the international level in 2013. The school also emphasizes environmental education, reading promotion, and local-language (母語) instruction.
