Houtougang Elementary School

Houtougang Elementary began in 1941 as "Henan Branch School of Fanzicuo Public School," became independent as "Henan National School" in 1942, was renamed "Henan Elementary" in 1968, and then reverted to its historic hamlet name, Houtougang Elementary, in 2008 after a community petition. The school is known locally for its Song Jiang Battle Array student troupe, a martial-arts and folk-performance tradition — notable in part because Houtougang is one of the few Taiwanese schools with a three-character name. In the 114th academic year, its English Readers Theatre team won top honors with a "Snow White" production.

坔頭港國小創立於民國30年（1941年），最初為「番子厝公學校河南分教場」，民國31年（1942年）獨立設校為「河南國民學校」，民國57年（1968年）改名「河南國小」，民國97年（2008年）經社區陳情，恢復歷史聚落舊名「坔頭港國小」。學校以學生宋江陣（武術陣頭與民俗表演）聞名，也因坔頭港是全台少數採三字校名的學校而格外特別。114學年度，學校英語讀者劇場團隊更以「白雪公主」獲得特優。
