Seven years in the planning, before the first bell rang.
Dingnei Junior High's story began well before it opened — land acquisition for the campus started as early as November 1990. A preparatory office was established on April 8, 1996, and founding principal Guo Qingshun was appointed in January 1997. The school enrolled its first cohort of five classes in August 1997, growing to nine classes in 1998 and ten in 1999. Today it hosts a career-exploration and experience demonstration center, giving students hands-on exposure to future career paths.
