A parent school with over 5,000 alumni.
Dingliu Elementary School began after local residents petitioned for a school in January 1926; approval followed in March 1926 as the Dingliu Annex of Zhongpu Public School. It became independent as Dingliu Public School in April 1935 once enrollment grew sufficiently — the year commonly cited as its formal founding. Renamed after Taiwan's 1945 Retrocession, the school spun off a branch in 1957 that became independent Hemu Elementary School in 1962, and adopted its current name in August 1968. The school celebrated its 85th anniversary in 2020, reporting over 5,000 alumni. Today it runs a youth orchestra, children's band, multiple dance and performance clubs, an idiom-learning curriculum module, and extensive Microsoft Teams-based digital infrastructure, alongside an attached kindergarten.
