Dayuan International Senior High School

Dayuan International Senior High School's preparatory office was established in August 2008, with the school enrolling its first students in 2010. It holds the distinction of being Taiwan's first public "international" high school and, according to Common Wealth Magazine coverage, the country's first foreign-language-focused public high school. The school was named by then-Taoyuan County Magistrate Eric Chu in December 2008 and opened its doors under Magistrate Wu Chih-yang in 2010; it was renamed from "Taoyuan County" to "Taoyuan Municipal" in 2014 after the county's upgrade to special-municipality status. Its "international" identity directly reflects Dayuan's role as home to Taoyuan International Airport — the district's defining feature — placing language learning and a global outlook at the center of the curriculum.

大園國際高中籌備處於2008年（民國97年）8月成立，2010年正式招收第一屆學生。學校是全臺灣第一所公立國際高中，根據《天下雜誌》報導，也是全國第一所以外語為特色的公立高中。校名由時任桃園縣長朱立倫於2008年12月定名，並於2010年在縣長吳志揚任內正式開學；2014年桃園縣升格直轄市後，校名由「桃園縣立」更名為「桃園市立」。學校的「國際」特色直接呼應大園作為桃園國際機場所在地的地方特徵——機場正是這個行政區最鮮明的標誌——將語言學習與國際視野置於課程核心。
