Daxiang Elementary began in 1952 as a branch of Puzi Elementary School, becoming an independent school in 1976. It celebrated its 40th anniversary and held its 48th and 49th graduation ceremonies in 2024 and 2025. The school's motto, 'Healthy, Happy, Creative Daxiang' (健康快樂、創意大鄉), captures its emphasis on an active taekwondo team and multiple sports competitions alongside bilingual/English education, science exhibitions, and reading/literary competitions. 大鄉國小前身為民國41年（1952年）成立的朴子國小大鄉分校，民國65年（1976年）獨立設校，曾舉辦建校40週年慶祝活動，並於2024、2025年分別舉行第48、49屆畢業典禮。校訓「健康快樂、創意大鄉」點出學校特色——活躍的跆拳道隊與多項運動競賽，並重視雙語/英語教育、科學展覽與閱讀/文學競賽，另附設幼兒園。
