From a county junior high to a complete secondary school.

Established on August 1, 1983 as "Tainan County Dawan Junior High School," the school became a "complete secondary school" (完全中學) by adding a senior-high division — designated in 2001 and fully implemented in 2003. It took its current name in 2010 after the Tainan county-city merger. Today the school enrolls roughly 2,300 students across 60 junior-high and 18 senior-high classes on a 54,048-square-meter campus equipped with a track and facilities for basketball, volleyball, badminton, and archery.
