The district's namesake school.
Dashu Elementary School traces its origins to 1913, when it opened as Dashujiao Public School (大樹腳公學校), initially holding classes inside the local Bao'an Temple (保安宮). It was renamed Dashu Elementary School in 1968, and over the following years spun off two branch campuses — a Heshan branch in 1969, and a Longmu branch in 1971 that later became today's independent Longmu Elementary School. With over a century of continuous history, Dashu Elementary remains the district's namesake school.
