Dashe Junior High School

Dashe Junior High School was established on August 1, 1971, commissioned under the direction of Xie Xiongfei, then principal of neighboring Renwu Junior High School. Zhang Congming was appointed the school's first principal in 1972. Originally a Kaohsiung County school, it was renamed a Kaohsiung City institution following the county-city merger of December 2010. The school sits on a site once known as "Aga Dashe" (阿加大社), a former Siraya-Makatau indigenous settlement, from which both the district and the school take their name.

大社國中創立於民國60年（1971年）8月1日，由時任仁武國中校長謝雄飛奉命籌辦，民國61年（1972年）張淙嗚出任首任校長。原為高雄縣立學校，於民國99年（2010年）縣市合併後改制為高雄市立學校。校地位於昔稱「阿加大社」的西拉雅族馬卡道支族舊社所在地，區名與校名皆源於此。
