From girls' school to basketball powerhouse.
Dalun Junior High School was founded in 1960, originally as the girls-only Miaoli Girls' Junior Middle School, before evolving into today's coeducational junior high in the heart of Miaoli City. The school has become a perennial contender in the JHBL, Taiwan's national junior-high basketball league, and has long promoted local and indigenous-culture programs. A major campus rebuild broke ground in October 2025, marking a new chapter for the school.
