Pingtung's first public-built, privately-run school.
On August 1, 2017, Pingtung County's Education Department commissioned the Fuzhi Culture and Education Foundation to operate the former Gaoxing Elementary School and its Guanfu branch as a combined K-9 school under a new name: Daluguan Combined Junior/Elementary School. It was the first "public-built, privately-operated" (公辦民營) school of its kind in the county, bringing Fuzhi's distinctive life-education and character-based curriculum to the Dalguan area of Gaoshu Township.

At the foothills of Gaoshu's orchard country.
Daluguan sits in the Dalguan (大路關) area of Gaoshu Township, at the foothills of the central mountain range — a region long shaped by betel nut, dragon fruit, and orchard farming. As the county's pioneering public-private school, it brings a values-driven, life-education model to this rural farming community. See the Pingtung county page for more on the region.
