Daliao Elementary School

Daliao Elementary was established as an independent school in 1965, originally growing out of a branch of Yongfang Elementary School. Despite sharing its name with the district, it is a comparatively modern institution — the older educational lineage tied to the "Daliao" name is actually carried by Yongfang Elementary, whose predecessor school was the district's original Japanese-era public school. In 1967, Daliao Elementary became the first school in the township to serve school lunches, and it now enrolls around 643 students.

大寮國小於民國54年（1965年）獨立設校，原為永芳國小的分校。雖然校名與行政區同名，但實際上是較為晚近成立的學校——真正承接「大寮」這個歷史脈絡的教育機構是永芳國小，其前身正是大寮區最早的日治時期公學校。民國56年（1967年），大寮國小成為全鄉第一所供應營養午餐的學校，目前在校學生約643人。
