Dajin Elementary School

Dajin Elementary's origins trace, by one unverified source, to 1926, when it began as a reading hall under Shun'an Public School during the Japanese colonial era. It became an independent elementary school in 1968. Tucked in the foothill village of Dajin, the school has earned the affectionate nickname "legendary mountain-wilderness playground" for its small size and forested surroundings. Around 2016, it transitioned to a full experimental education program, emphasizing nature-based learning, outdoor camping, and "mobile classroom" initiatives that take students beyond the campus walls.

大進國小的創校歷史，依據一份尚未完全查證的資料，可能可追溯至日治時期昭和元年（1926年），前身為順安公學校下轄的一處讀書會（教育所）。學校於民國57年（1968年）獨立設校。座落於山腳下的大進村，這所小校因規模精巧、周邊林木環繞，被暱稱為「傳說中的山林遊樂園」。約於民國105年（2016年）前後，學校轉型為全面實驗教育課程，強調自然體驗學習、露營探索，以及帶領學生走出校園的「行動教室」計畫。
