Dahua Elementary began on September 1, 1950 as the "Dahua Branch Class" of the Air Force Dependents' School, established to serve children of Air Force military-dependent families living near a nearby air base, alongside surrounding farming households. It became an independent school — Dahua Elementary of Luzhu Township, Taoyuan County — on August 1, 1970, after the township office purchased the school site in 1969. Ten principals have served since founding principal Chen Xigun (1970–1978), and the school continues to serve a farming-community and suburban-fringe catchment area.
大華國小於民國39年（1950年）9月1日創校，初名「空軍子弟小學大華分班」，專為鄰近空軍基地的空軍眷屬子弟及周邊農家子弟而設。民國58年（1969年）鄉公所購置校地，民國59年（1970年）8月1日獨立設校，定名「桃園縣蘆竹鄉大華國民小學」。自創校校長陳錫崑（1970–1978年）起，歷任校長已達十位，學校至今持續服務農村與郊區學童。
