Dagang Elementary School

Dagang Elementary began as the 'Pingding branch school' (坪頂分校) of Guishan Elementary, first operating as a branch class around 1921 before becoming independent in 1922. It celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2022, confirmed by a Taoyuan city government news release marking the centennial. As the first school established to serve the Pingding plateau area, its catchment went on to spawn five further elementary schools over the following decades — Dakeng, Dapu, Leshan, Wenhua, and, indirectly, others nearby — earning it a reputation as the 'mother school' of the entire plateau.

大崗國小前身為龜山國小「坪頂分校」，約1921年設立分教班，1922年正式獨立設校，2022年舉辦建校百年慶祝活動，並經桃園市政府新聞稿證實。作為坪頂台地最早設立的學校，其學區後續陸續分出大坑、大埔、樂善、文華等五所國小，堪稱整個坪頂台地的「母校」。
