A green campus at a village crossroads.
Dachi Elementary began in 1964 as the "Dachi Branch" of nearby Chidong Elementary School, opening with just two classes, and became a fully independent school in 1970. It sits at the junction of Dachi, Erkan, and Chidong villages, and serves only Dachi Village's children — a small, single-community school known for its extensive plantings of araucaria (Norfolk pine) trees, which give the campus an unusually green, shaded feel for the outer islands.

🏘️ At a Three-Village Crossroads
三村交界處
Located where Dachi, Erkan, and Chidong villages meet, the school nonetheless serves only Dachi Village's own children, keeping its community tight-knit.
Near Erkan, a living heritage village.
Dachi Elementary sits close to Erkan (二崁), one of Penghu's best-preserved traditional Minnan settlements, famous for its coral-and-basalt stone houses. The school serves a small traditional Xiyu farming and fishing community shaped by this same architectural heritage. See the Penghu county page for more on the region.
