A century-old school looking to the stars.
Yuemei Elementary was founded on April 1, 1915, as a branch of Xingang Public School, and became fully independent on April 1, 1920. The school recently marked its 111th anniversary, reflecting over a century of continuous history in one of the many small villages that grew up around Xingang's temple-market economy. Today it blends that long heritage with forward-looking programs: a bilingual education initiative featuring student podcast channels and a "World Classroom" platform, strong coding instruction using Code.org and CodeCombat, and astronomy-themed morning classes nicknamed "Zhuluo City Starry Sky," which helped the school place third in the 65th County Science Exhibition.
