National Chung-Hsing Senior High School was founded in 1957 (ROC 46) in Chung-Hsing New Village, the planned garden city built as the seat of the Taiwan Provincial Government. Today it is Nantou County's only "pure" senior high school — offering a purely academic track without vocational programs — and serves about 1,182 students across 39 classes in day and evening divisions. Since 2004, the school has run dedicated gifted classes in math/science and language arts, and its 3.8-hectare campus remains woven into the administrative heritage of Chung-Hsing New Village.
國立中興高級中學創立於民國46年（1957年），座落於曾為台灣省政府所在地、以花園城市規劃聞名的中興新村。如今是南投縣唯一的「純高中」，不設職業類科，目前約有1,182名學生，分為39個班級（含日間部與進修部）。自民國93年（2004年）起，學校開設數理及語文資優班。校地面積3.8公頃，深植於中興新村的行政歷史脈絡之中。
