Chulu Dream Maker Experimental Junior High School

Chulu Junior High is now branded the "Dream Maker" experimental junior high school, built around the theme of a "learning paradise that dances with nature." The campus houses the Taitung County Chulu Maker Education and Technology Center, giving students hands-on access to maker-space equipment and technology education alongside a standard academic curriculum. The school is located in Chulu, a mixed Puyuma and Han farming area in the Beinan uplands near the Beinan River valley. Importantly, it is a distinct, more recently established institution from the century-old Chulu Elementary School (初鹿國小), which traces its own history back to 1921 — the two share a name and a village but are not the same school.

初鹿國中現以「造夢者」實驗國中為品牌形象，圍繞「與自然共舞的學習樂園」主題發展課程。校內設有台東縣初鹿自造教育與科技中心，讓學生在一般學科課程之外，也能接觸自造者空間設備與科技教育。學校位於初鹿，是卑南鄉丘陵地帶一個卑南族與漢人混居的農業聚落，鄰近卑南溪流域。須特別說明的是，該校與歷史可溯及1921年、已逾百年歷史的初鹿國小是兩所不同的機構，雖同名同村，但並非同一所學校。
