Chengzheng Junior High was founded on June 27, 1967, and formally named "臺北市立誠正國民中學" by the Taipei City Government on May 15, 1976. Its triangular campus is built around a Japanese-style "日"-shaped building complex of six teaching blocks. In August 2020, Chengzheng became a bilingual experimental-curriculum school, and it also hosts an "overseas talent recruitment class" (海外攬才班) enrolling international and overseas-Taiwanese students.
誠正國中創立於民國56年（1967年）6月27日，民國65年（1976年）5月15日由台北市政府正式定名「臺北市立誠正國民中學」。校園基地呈三角形，以日式「日」字型的六棟教學大樓構成校舍主體。民國109年（2020年）8月，誠正國中成為雙語實驗課程學校，並開設「海外攬才班」，招收海外或僑居國際學生。
