The strength of an entire tribe.

Chashan Elementary — also known by its Tsou name, Cayamavana — was formally established in 1995, according to the school's own records. Located in a remote mountain border area adjacent to Namasia District, Kaohsiung, the school runs an indigenous cultural education program in which tribal elders teach traditional Tsou songs and dances, alongside an ecological-exploration curriculum centered on the area's rich biodiversity. Its motto, "raising our children with the strength of an entire tribe" (用一個部落的力量,培養我們的孩子), captures the community's shared investment in its students, who regularly perform at regional festivals and major Alishan-area celebrations.
