National Chaozhou Senior High School

National Chaozhou Senior High School was founded in March 1942 as “Chaozhou Shude Girls' School” (潮州淑德女學校), with an opening ceremony held on May 23, 1942. It was renamed Chaozhou Agricultural Practical Girls' School in 1944. After World War II, it became Kaohsiung County Chaozhou Junior Middle School in February 1946 (Chaozhou was then under Kaohsiung County's jurisdiction), and was renamed Taiwan Provincial Chaozhou Middle School with a senior-high division added in January 1949. It became Taiwan Provincial Chaozhou Senior High School in July 1970, and came under direct national administration as National Chaozhou Senior High School on February 1, 2000, following Taiwan's provincial-government streamlining reform. With over 80 years of continuous operation, the school is now a Ministry of Education-designated “High School Quality Improvement” institution.

國立潮州高級中學創立於昭和17年（1942年）3月，前身為「潮州淑德女學校」，並於同年5月23日舉行開學典禮。民國33年（1944年）更名為潮州農業實踐女學校。二戰結束後，於民國35年（1946年）2月改制為高雄縣立潮州初級中學（潮州當時隸屬高雄縣），並於民國38年（1949年）1月更名為臺灣省立潮州中學，並增設高中部。民國59年（1970年）7月改稱臺灣省立潮州高級中學，並於民國89年（2000年）2月1日隨「精省」改制，改隸國立潮州高級中學。逾80年辦學歷程，現為教育部指定的「高中優質化」重點學校。
