Chaosheng Elementary School

Chaosheng Elementary School was established relatively recently, in the post-war era, specifically to relieve overcrowding at Chaozhou Elementary and Guanghua Elementary as Chaozhou's urban-renewal district grew and its population increased — in line with Taiwan's “small class, small school” education policy. The school now has a relatively large enrollment for the area, with about 539 students and 36 staff, making it among the larger elementary schools in this part of Pingtung, purpose-built to balance regional education access as the town urbanized.

潮昇國小為戰後相對晚近設立的學校，目的是紓解潮州國小與光華國小因潮州鎮都市更新地區發展、人口成長所帶來的招生壓力，呼應台灣「小班小校」的教育政策。學校目前規模相對較大，約有539名學生、36位教職員，是這批屏東學校中規模較大者之一，其設立初衷正是為了平衡都市化過程中的區域教育資源分配。
