Changxing Elementary School was founded in June 1993, with its first principal appointed on August 1 of that year, making it one of the newest schools in Qidu District. Its activity center was completed the following year, in 1994. The school's guiding vision centers on the values of happiness, sincerity, innovation, and gratitude.
長興國民小學創校於民國82年（1993年）6月，首任校長於同年8月1日到任，是七堵區較年輕的學校之一。活動中心則於隔年民國83年（1994年）完工。學校秉持「快樂、誠實、創新、感恩」的辦學願景。
