A century of Hakka-language education.

Changlong Elementary was established in 1921, during the Japanese colonial era, as "佳冬公學校昌隆分教室" (Jiadong Public School Changlong Branch Classroom). Over a century later, the school still serves the villages of Changlong and Fenglong — a traditional Hakka community known for its well-preserved architecture and tidy streets. As of the 2022–23 school year, the school had 6 classes, 38 students, 12 teachers, and 2 staff. It has been designated a "Hakka-language featured school" (客語特色學校), and also runs elder-care outreach and outdoor experiential-education programs, with a campus that includes a library, playground, computer classroom, and gymnasium.

昌隆國小創立於1921年(大正10年)日治時期,初名「佳冬公學校昌隆分教室」。歷經逾百年,如今仍持續服務昌隆與豐隆兩村——這是一個保存完好、街道整齊的傳統客家聚落。截至111學年度(2022–23),全校共有6個班級、38名學生、12位教師、2位職員。學校獲選為「客語特色學校」,並辦理敬老關懷與戶外體驗教育等活動,校園設有圖書館、操場、電腦教室與體育館等設施。
