Chang'an Elementary School

Chang'an Elementary School was founded in 1954 in Hukou Township's northeastern corner, near the boundary with Yangmei and Taoyuan, where clear days offer distant views of the Taiwan Strait. Like many rural schools in Taiwan, Chang'an has seen its enrollment shrink significantly over the decades — from more than 200 students across 12 classes to roughly 70 students in 6 classes today — a trend driven by outmigration from Hukou's outlying farming villages.

長安國小創立於民國43年（1954年），位於湖口鄉東北角，緊鄰楊梅、桃園交界處，晴朗時可遠眺台灣海峽。如同台灣許多鄉村學校，長安國小數十年來學生人數大幅減少——從12個班級、200多名學生，銳減至如今6個班級、約70名學生——反映湖口鄉外圍農村地區人口外移的趨勢。
