Eighty years of training Madou's technical workforce.
National Tseng-Wen Agricultural and Industrial Vocational High School was founded on April 22, 1941, as "Tseng-Wen Special Agricultural School" (曾文專修農業學校). It became a county junior agricultural vocational school in 1946, was reorganized as Taiwan Provincial Tseng-Wen Senior High School in 1968, became an agricultural-industrial vocational school in 1987, and gained national (國立) status in 2000. Today it offers a broad mix of agricultural and industrial departments — horticulture, food processing, animal-health care, machining, automotive, electronics, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, and computer-aided drafting — plus a sports class and a special-education vocational track. Its self-branded slogan, "technical-vocational pioneer, Madou Tseng-Nong" (技職先鋒麻豆曾農), reflects its role as the area's flagship vocational-industrial school for over 80 years.

Trained for the sugarcane and pomelo fields.
The school's origins as an agricultural training institute directly served the sugarcane- and later pomelo-farming economy of Madou and the wider former Tseng-Wen (曾文) administrative region, a legacy still visible in its horticulture and food-processing departments today. See the Tainan county page for more on the region.
