A name built on the ideal of universal love.
Bo'ai Elementary School was originally established as “Chiayi City New North District Bo'ai National School” in 1948. It was renamed after Chiayi became a county-administered city in 1950, then became “Bo'ai National Elementary School” in 1968 when nine-year compulsory education was introduced. The school gained its current designation in 1982, when Chiayi was elevated to provincial-city status.
