The junior high of the South-Link mountains.
Binmao Junior High opened on August 1, 1968, as Taiwan extended compulsory education to nine years nationwide. Designated an Indigenous-focus school with a predominantly Paiwan student body, it serves as the central junior high for the so-called "South-Link four townships" area, drawing students not only from Jinfeng but also from neighboring Taimali and Daren Townships. Over the decades it has built a reputation well beyond its remote mountain setting, most notably through its youth baseball team and a past national teaching-excellence gold award.
