A joint creation of the city and NCCU.
Beizheng Junior High School was jointly established in 1968 by the Taipei City Government and National Chengchi University (NCCU) to meet the new nine-year compulsory education mandate. Its name combines characters from Taipei ("北") and NCCU's "政" — reflecting its joint founding by the two institutions. First principal Lin Hui was appointed in May 1968, and the school celebrates its anniversary every May 7.
Beizheng was officially certified as a bilingual education school in the 2023 school year and is pursuing International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) accreditation. The campus sits at the foot of Zhinan Mountain on Zhinan Road, the same road that climbs to Zhinan Temple and past the NCCU campus.
北政國中於1968年（民國57年）由臺北市政府與國立政治大學共同創辦，為因應九年國民義務教育而設立。校名結合「北」（臺北市）與「政」（政治大學），象徵兩者共同創校的淵源。首任校長林輝於1968年5月到任，校慶訂為5月7日。
北政國中於112學年度（2023年）正式通過雙語教育學校認證，並持續推動國際文憑中學課程（IB MYP）認證。校址位於指南山麓的指南路上，這條路正是通往指南宮與政治大學的必經之路。
