Taiwan's most storied girls' school.
Taipei First Girls' High School traces its founding to 1904, when it opened under Japanese rule as Taihoku Girls' High School. After Taiwan's 1945 retrocession it was renamed Taiwan Provincial Taipei First Girls' Senior High School, and it took its present name in 1967 when Taipei became a special municipality. Over more than a century it has grown into Taiwan's most prestigious public girls' school, sending generations of graduates — including the writer Sanmao, former Vice President Annette Lu, and First Lady Christine Chow — into public life. The campus's 1933 Guangfu Building is a Taipei city-designated historic monument, and the school's front gate faces the Presidential Office directly across the street.

💚 The "Little Green" Uniform
The school's famous dark-green uniform, nicknamed "小綠綠" (little green), dates to 1952, when it was adopted by a one-vote margin in a faculty vote — partly out of Cold War-era concern about camouflaging students near the Presidential Office during a potential air raid.
🏛️ The Guangfu Building
Built in 1933 under Japanese rule, the campus's Guangfu Building is a Taipei city-designated historic monument, anchoring the school's century-long presence on the same site.
