Beitou Elementary School

Beitou Elementary opened on June 28, 1902, as a branch classroom of Bazhilan Public School, giving it over 120 years of continuous history and making it one of the oldest schools in the district. In 1922 it spun off branch classrooms that later became independent schools in their own right — today's Shipai Elementary and Guandu Elementary. The school went through repeated renamings across the Japanese colonial period and the postwar Caoshan/Yangmingshan Administration era, before finally becoming a Taipei City school in 1974.

北投國小創校於明治35年（1902年）6月28日，最初是八芝蘭公學校的分教場，至今已有超過120年的悠久歷史，是北投地區歷史最久的學校之一。民國11年（1922年）分出的分教場，日後分別獨立設校，即今日的石牌國小與關渡國小。學校歷經日治時期及戰後草山（陽明山）管理局時期多次更名，於民國63年（1974年）正式改制為臺北市立學校。
