Founded by a Hakka mansion patriarch's vision.

Beipu Junior High traces its founding to 1953, when it opened as a branch of Zhudong Junior High. Its establishment was championed by leaders across Beipu, Emei, and Baoshan townships, with Jiang A-Xin — patriarch of the famous Jiang A-Xin Mansion, one of Beipu Old Street's most celebrated landmarks — elected as chair of the founding committee. The school became independent in 1956, was renamed "Beipu Junior High School" that year, and took its current name in 1968. Today it runs a wind orchestra, science club, cycling club, and a county-level woodball team, alongside a strong Hakka Language Living School program.
